Legal Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is organized and detail-oriented with a strong command of legal terminology.

Responsibilities include providing administrative support to attorneys, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and handling correspondence; preparing and formatting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and briefs; maintaining and organizing client files, ensuring accurate record keeping and document retrieval; interacting professionally with clients, counsel, and court personnel; handling incoming calls and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate parties; assisting with billing and time-tracking activities; and performing other administrative tasks as required. Salary range: $65,000 - $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Legal Assistant in a law firm or legal department
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, with advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Discretion and confidentiality are essential

Attorney, Insurance Defense

We are seeking attorneys with 3+ years of experience for our insurance defense practice. Candidates should have experience handling a diverse caseload for insurance carriers, including conducting fact and expert witness depositions. New Jersey and New York bar admission is required, as well as excellent writing and communication skills. Judicial clerkship experience is preferred. The base annual salary range is $120,000 - $150,000, depending on experience, plus additional discretionary bonuses, incentives, and benefits.
