Valerie Murphy focuses her practice on general equity matters and appellate work. She is client-focused and strives to craft concise resolutions to resolve matters expeditiously.
Ms. Murphy plays a vital role representing the firm’s clients in general equity and probate matters, leveraging her prior experience to provide clients with insightful and goal- oriented advice.
Prior to joining O'Toole Scrivo, Ms. Murphy served as a law clerk for the Judge James R. Paganelli, J.A.D., in the Essex County General Equity Division. She continued to clerk with Judge Paganelli during his appointment to the Appellate Division in 2023.
During law school, Ms. Murphy was a Leadership Fellow, a member of the Seton Hall Mock Trial team, and a judicial extern to the Honorable Tonianne J. Bongiovanni, U.S.M.J., in the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey, where she drafted opinions on pre-trial matters.
