Richard Pearsall is a strategic legal advisor who guides clients through complex legal and regulatory challenges with practical business-focused solutions.

Most recently, Mr. Pearsall served in the Enforcement Section of the Bureau of Securities at the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, where he led investigations and initiated enforcement actions. Previously, he was an associate at an AmLaw 50 law firm, where he concentrated on internal investigations, complex litigation, and financial services. He also served on secondment to the General Counsel of a global investment bank, where he managed operational responsibilities and litigation reserves and collaborated with key internal stakeholders on litigation matters and the bank's compliance with various regulatory requirements, including the Sarbanes Oxley Act. 

Mr. Pearsall leverages his unique experience across other top law firms, financial institutions, and as a state securities regulator to develop strategies for clients facing regulatory, compliance, and litigation challenges. His background in litigation, compliance, operations, and investigations allows him to anticipate client needs and deliver solutions that align with their business objectives.

Mr. Pearsall’s contributions to groundbreaking digital asset security regulatory actions earned him the Attorney General’s Award for Excellence in Advancing the Department’s Priorities and Initiatives.

During law school, Mr. Pearsall was a John Marshall Harlan Scholar affiliated with the Center for Business and Financial Law.
