Robert's practice focuses on the defense of white collar criminal matters. Robert represents businesses and individuals investigated and charged by the United States Department of Justice, the United States Attorney's Office for the District of New Jersey, the Office of the Attorney General of New Jersey, and numerous County Prosecutor's Offices. He routinely defends businesses and individuals charged with criminal offenses including: health care fraud, antitrust, wire and mail fraud, securities, and tax fraud. Robert also represents individuals charged with a wide variety of crimes including vehicular homicide, aggravated assault, aggravated sexual assault, criminal sexual contact, child pornography and endangerment, theft and related offenses, burglary, robbery, drug possession and distribution, firearms and weapons possession. Following a clerkship with the Honorable William L’E. Wertheimer, J.S.C., he served as an Assistant Bergen County Prosecutor from 1994 to 1998.

Robert also has extensive experience in the areas of complex commercial litigation, municipal law, domestic violence, insurance defense, premises liability, False Claims Act, New Jersey Tort Claims Act, civil rights litigation, and expungements.
