Mr. Townes has extensive experience in various practice areas, including labor and employment law, municipal law, and civil litigation.
Mr. Townes received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2005 where he was a letter winner and member of the 2002 Men’s Football Ivy League Championship team. Mr. Townes received his Juris Doctor from William & Mary School of Law in 2010. Following law school, Mr. Townes served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Brian R. Martinotti, in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Law Division, in the Bergen Vicinage during the 2010-2011 court term. Prior to joining O’Toole Scrivo, Mr. Townes served as in-house labor and employment counsel for a large municipality and served as an associate at a mid-sized New Jersey law firm where his practice focused on education law, labor and employment law, civil litigation, and redevelopment. Of particular note, Mr. Townes provided counsel to various public entities, including several Abbott school districts and the City of Newark’s economic development corporation.
