Mr. Braender has over twenty five years of experience in the defense of complex civil trial matters focusing on toxic tort and environmental matters. He has served as both national and regional counsel for defendants, appearing in courts throughout the U.S. Mr. Braender has handled litigation for numerous public and private corporations in several jurisdictions throughout the United States, including premise owners, product manufacturers, suppliers and distributors.

Mr. Braender has worked with his corporate clients to develop information as to their historical product lines and subsidiary acquisition, analyze historical asset and liability transfer agreements and successor liability issues. He actively participates in national industry focus groups and, as such, takes part in thought leadership discussions involving defense strategies for asbestos litigation.

As a member of O’Toole Scrivo’s Toxic and Mass Tort trial team, Mr. Braender coordinates preparation of defenses in mass tort actions directly with corporate clients and NCC, is the firm’s primary liaison with expert witnesses in toxic tort actions and has developed expertise in establishing a plaintiff’s alternate asbestos exposure.
